The "Tawag ng Tanghalan" champion, Noven Belleza faced the court in Cebu City at around 2 pm on Monday, July 17. This is after a r@ pe complaint was filed against him by a 19-year-old local performer, who was allegedly a 'friend' of the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" champion.
The "Tawag ng Tanghalan" grand champion, Noven Belleza, 22, was arrested in Cebu for r@ pe complaint.
Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal Jr., head of the Mabolo Police Station in Cebu City, confirmed this in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), by telephone this Monday morning, July 17.
According to Chief Inspector Mandal, “Actually, I cannot expound about this case because this is considered as a private crime. I cannot divulge you the name of the victim. Kilala mo na naman ang suspect, pero I cannot give you the specifics."
This is followed by PEP's information that the singer was arrested by the authorities due to a r@ pe complaint and now he's currently in a hospital arrest.
Mandal confirmed that the singing champ was in a private hospital today because of a chest pain.
While the interviewing the Mabolo Police chief, the victim and the parents of the victim was in front of Chief Mandal because they were set to file a formal court complaint against the singer, at about 2 pm today.

According to the reports, the singer was arrested on Sunday, July 16, at the IEC Pavilion, Barangay Mabolo, after a guesting at the concert of a famous singer-host of the noontime show where he also came from.
The concert that the newspaper was referring to is the 'Pusuan Mo si Vice Ganda sa Cebu' where Noven guested.

The Freeman reported that the victim was a 19-year-old local performer in Cebu. The r@pe incident happen at around 2 o'clock on Saturday, July 15, inside the condo of the singing champ in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City. The victim also said that she was hit by the singing champ after she stopped him from doing something. She added that she has more details to say when her complaint goes to the court.
The victim couldn't believe that the singing champion would do that to her since they are good friends.
The victim stated, “Wala ko nag-expect nga iyaha nang buhaton nako kay buotan man gud kay na siya, pero dili sad ko mosugot nga sayon-sayonon rako niya.” ["Hindi ko inakala na gawin niya yun sa akin dahil mabait siya, pero hindi rin ako papayag na tarantaduhin niya ako.”]
The victim's parents also stated that they will not allow a settlement between their child and the singing champ.
Accodrding to the father of the victim, “Dili mi gusto nga duna pa siya’y laing mabiktima maong tinud-on gyud namo siya og kiha para makakuha mi og hustisya sa nahitabo sa among anak.” [“Hindi kami papayag na magkaroon pa siya ng ibang biktima kaya itutuloy namin ang aming reklamo sa korte para makakuha kami ng hustisya sa ginawa niya sa aming anak.”]
